A painting is a way of
sitting with a verse.

Each piece begins as a personal practice — spending time with a passage before touching the canvas, and letting the imagery emerge from what the verse means rather than illustrating it literally. It's the same instinct that will eventually shape the journals: scripture is something to sit inside, not just read past.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord Is My Light

Psalm 23:2

Still Waters

Romans 15:13

God of Hope

What's Coming

Beyond the paintings

Hand & Verse is growing into something you can hold onto, not just look at — a place to read the thinking behind the work, and eventually, a way to bring that same practice into your own study.

Coming Soon

The Blog

Reflections on the scripture and process behind each painting — the study, the false starts, and the verses that didn't make it to canvas but shaped the work anyway.

Coming Soon

Bible Study Journals

Guided journals pairing a painting and its verse with reflection prompts and open pages for your own study — the practice behind the series, made for you to sit inside too.
